It’s Election Day so I expect each and every person to march down to their polling stations and VOTE! Here in northeastern Oklahoma we have several State Questions, local elections as well as the race that’s on everyone’s mind…the Presidential election.
I have a strong feeling the lines will be long. Okie-dokie. I’ve stood in long lines in the past, but today I figure I’ll be standing outside for a while. Well, I’ll just wear a jacket with a hood since I don’t like my ears getting cold. (Have I ever told you that I’m a cold natured old… Ahem. I think I’ll leave it at that. LOL)
The point is, we all need to get out and support our candidate(s). I have my mind pretty well made up on everything I expect to see on the ballot, so it won’t take me long once I get in there.
Oh, yeah. You’ll need a picture ID. I know this is a sore spot for some, but if you have to show ID to get a check cashed, what’s the big deal with showing proof of who you are to vote? Seems reasonable to me. But if we have to bring our Voter ID cards, I might be in trouble. It’s been so many years since it was issued, that I don’t remember where it is now. *s*
I’ll still go stand in line and do my civic duty, then watch the TV this evening to see if my candidates come out on top. You should do the same.
